You have a couple of download options to choose from.
First, you can download the full install package. Once it is unzipped just run SETUP.EXE. It will take care of copying the files, setting up the icons in the Start Menu and has an uninstall in the unlikely event you decide to get rid of MIS2PALM. Note: The full install package also includes updates for MFC42.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL.
Download full install (1.1MB)
Second, you can download the quick and dirty, nothing but the files, package. Once you've unzipped it, just run MIS2PALM.EXE. It's up to you to create shortcuts and add it to your Start Menu if you want.
Download nothing but the files (36K)
Finally, you may need to update your COMCTL32.DLL. My what?!? That's right, COMCTL32.DLL. Fortunately or unfortunately, Microsoft released a newer version of this file. And, MIS2PALM v3 needs a newer version than what may have shipped with your particular version of Windows. MIS2PALM needs COMCTL32.DLL to be version 4.71 or greater. You are fine if you are running Windows 98, Windows 2000, or have installed Internet Explorer 4 or greater. Otherwise, you probably need to check. (MIS2PALM will automatically check when you run it but...)
Here's how to check:
On Windows 95, browse to the SYSTEM folder, typically C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
On Windows NT, browse to the SYSTEM32 folder, typically C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32
Now, Find COMCTL32.DLL
Right-click the file and select Properties
Select the Version tab.
There staring you in the face is the File version. This needs to be 4.71 or greater.
OK, I need the update, where do I go?
Microsoft has graciously posted an update on their web site. You need to download 50comupd.exe (x86). Download the 'Common Control Library Patch' here.
